We use chosen DfE approved phonics Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised. It is a complete phonics programme which draws on the latest research into how children learn best; how to ensure learning stays in children’s long-term memory and how best to enable children to apply their learning to become highly competent readers. 

Phonics is taught daily in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, and children also have a reading session where they use Little Wandle books which are closely matched to their phonic knowledge. These are taken home each week and changed regularly.
